The Duel Disks: Statlanta VS Heart Of The Champion
Two artists from the Dirty South, with different starting points, but the same conclusion. The Paul Wall lived a great success a few years ago with infinite feats, platinum albums and singles that became anthems of the South America. The Stat Quo on the other hand, had all the makings to make a great entrance in the music industry, but with the tragic movements of his company then (Aftermath / Interscope), lost all the hype that he had tried to build those months. These two synapantiountai somewhat in 2010 in anticipation that the world record for the releases, with minimal promotion and holding a small basket.
RULES
With this form of criticism present a 2 on 1 review with an interesting juxtaposition. In each category a superior album will be credited to a degree. In categories where both discs are equal and will get two of one point. If there are cases where both efforts are lagging behind or can not be judged will not earn any point. The rankings come at the end the same way as all the reviews on disc Beat - Town.
First impressions: At first listen, I respect all that, I think the disc's Stat Quo is much more interesting. It has some good beats and just the fact that giving me the opportunity to finally hear the first solo work of this rapper after so many delays, keeps me more easily. In «Heart Of The Champion» stands out the songs you want to be heard and those that will not survive the second time. Definitely not convincing as a CD, as the debut artist from Atlanta (1-0)
.
Productions: Here things begin to entangle, with two albums to earn in this field in different ways. For example, «Statlanta» is a very serious executive producing, which if anything helps the flow of this album. On the other course, the beats seem a bit amateurish, or as if it has a very low budget towards heavy papers Paul Wall. It does not sound that some productions for Stat Quo have done the Boi-1da and Sha Money XL, for example two to three songs of Travis Barker. Beyond this, however, it is evident that even in shuffle mode to put it to play «Heart Of The Champion», do the same. There is a lack of homogeneity, so I would say that I have heard pros and cons on both sides. (1-0)
.
Presence of artists / Content: No doubt this point is go to Stat Quo, who makes a fresh and definitely have to share with us more than the Paul Wall. None of them is no terrible rapper, just «Statlanta» deals with more issues than the «Heart Of The Champion», which pretty much sounds like a repeat of the previous albums. (2-0)
.
Interests: Another area where things are clear, this time not for «Statlanta». Correct entries of Talib Kweli, Raheem DeVaugn, Devin The Dude, etc., but only cooperation with Raekwon, Yelawolf and Jay Electronica, puts down the instances present in the LP Stat Quo (2-1)
.
The best songs: Songs like «The Beginning», «Catch Me», «Cry», is very beautiful creations on the part of the Stat Quo, but I believe strongly that the corresponding pieces of «Heart Of The Champion» is one class higher. Whether the hook, either due to beat, hard to overcome the «Statlanta», the power take off their «Round Here», «Imma Get It» etc. (2-2)
.
The worst tracks: So as you celebrate the best efforts of Paul Wall, in the same way one must say bravo to Stat Quo was not in junk or tracks that pass away. All gave a second chance to hear from beginning to end, unlike when I succeeded in «Heart Of The Champion. There, things were found for me at the first hearing and olas. For example, «My City» and «Stay Iced Up» I sound like a simple copy of «Snap Your Fingers» and other songs that move at this rate. (3-2)
.
Durability: Here I would say that the situation is ambiguous. The «Statlanta» Diaspora has the content and many more opportunities to xanakoustei from beginning to end, unlike the «Heart Of The Champion». But I think different view upon their own songs on each disc. The best songs by Paul Wall are more likely to result in a playlist or to "burn" a CD for the car, rather than individual tunes of Stat Quo. It depends purely on the listener just how you look at this. (3-2)
.
Cover: Nothing terrible on both sides. Since we have a picture of a southern classic with a luxury car by Stat Quo and the other a close-up of Paul Wall. If I had to choose anyway, I would choose the «Statlanta» which leads to more easily buy it. Really though, there is no essential difference. (3-2)
.
Final Score: 3-2

Result: To be perfectly honest, it was not anything super releases. Both moved into shallow water, each for different reasons. Prosopika believe that «Statlanta» give a more lyrically and musically, but the look on their overall performance. The «Heart Of The Champion» I am disappointed because I expected much more than just a rapper like Paul Wall. Had removed enough albums so far and only three to four pieces looks good while. I do not think disappointed those who expected these two releases what and how, because they have to offer material for them. For everyone else, would seem modest, but I think that in the case of Stat Quo appear more likely to deal a little more with him. Unfortunately for him, he paid a very bad deal he had with an artist from the record company and the tools he left to work with, the work was extremely difficult. No one can say that they tried and if you happen to find more response in the future, you might hear something more mature. For Paul Wall is the only hope switched dynamically on the scene is a new collaboration with Chamillionaire for a whole disk, since it was one of the few moments when everything worked the clock «Heart Of The Champion».
