Album Review: Raheem DeVaughn - The Love And War Masterpeace

The Raheem DeVaughn is a very popular R & B-Soul singer. In America especially, people, and his colleagues respect him for very thoughtful albums that have done so far. Personally, though he had occupied the MME due to several different music awards (Won BET Awards, and three had two nominations at the Grammies), I had forgotten for some time. With the advent of the great «Do Over» Ghostface Killah's opened my appetite for the arrival of his new album.
In «The Love And War MasterPeace» begins with funk mood and a very good participation Ludacris. The latter adds quality raps and gives something extra to politicized «Bulletproof». In the same wavelength moves and participation in Wale next piece in the first quarter seems to be fairly up-tempo. Nice hooks and very soft vocals that blend with positive yields. All this hangs immediately passed to the listener and a joyful sense of the first part of the disk. Beyond the pace relaxes, Raheem does not use any more collaborations with rappers, a good move by him.
In this classic calm of the disc, which is almost always in an R & B-Soul album, it is wiser to be a one man show. The only requirement is to hold the singer a fairly typical and emotional voice, something that is missing from Devaughn anywhere in the LP. In «Fragine» for example, the romance kalliergitai great by chemistry with the vocals and production. The Ne-Yo, K. Dope, Lil 'Ronnie and Stereotypes watched love to work the pieces together seamlessly, which was largely successful. The only minus is that there is a creation that will listen and I will stay for some time. A diamond that will make the difference from the rest.
Good to «The Love And War MasterPeace» is the fact that it stays true to the title it has. The love songs beautifully presented through very good lyrics, without sounding cheesy and put immediately to mind. There is also the issue of war and peace (as distinguished and the pun is the Master Peace) that passes without the excesses. Shows that it is a conscious human being and with the help of Jill Scot t and Damien Marley to «Nobody Wins War» and «Revelations 2010» respectively, manages to convey what he wants in the world. The last track will remind many hip-hop music lovers the «Can I Live» Jay-Z of the «Reasonable Doubt».
Actually I can speak for a very good album. Productions, interests, feelings and above all the central hero of our attribute highly segmented. Surely this is so far the most crowded of the project and the best R & B album I heard so far in 2010. The style and the atmosphere resembles creations Maxwell, without this meaning that the copies. It is a 100% R & B CD with very few soul and smooth funk elements. If there's missing the really big benchmarks, and may be talking about a classic LP. With the addition of a couple of highlights and a little more "color" in a monotonous signs I saw, perhaps not long to come to the masterpiece. Until then, let's enjoy a man who makes good quality and R & B that has been missing at times from the stores.
